The project instigated and co-ordinated by philosopher and teacher-in-training Ellie Hart and supported by Bristol Uni’s Widening Participation fund and SAPERE brings teachers, philosophers and children together in weekly philosophical enquiry.
Following the model at Leeds – devised by Thinking Space – teachers, philosophers and children will exchange skills and knowledge over 12 weeks of training and classroom practice.
The project kicked of with a SAPERE level one training day in March led by Grace and a modelling session in school where Year Five had plenty to say on the subject of belief and flying dogs.
Ellie has a wonderful team of teachers and students to work with and we’re looking forward to catching up with them as the project develops. Grace meets for the next instalment of training and modelling next month.
