About the project

This ‘Thinking Allowed’ project, facilitated by Artforms, was collaboration with an English teacher at Primrose High School and English consultant from Education Leeds. Using enquiry-based methodology we encourage disengaged, under-achieving year 10s to improve their speaking and listening by taking part in philosophical dialogues. The project culminating in a philosophy-inspired GCSE assessment from which students achieved on average, one grade higher than predicted at GCSE English.
